Borussia Dortmund vs Eintracht Frankfurt Predictions

• BVB have won six of their last eight home games
• Frankfurt have just one point to show from their last three games
• Both teams have scored in six consecutive Frankfurt games

BVB can lock in second spot

Borussia Dortmund probably only need one point from their final two games to secure second spot in the Bundesliga and they can finish the job with a game to spare by beating Eintracht Frankfurt on Friday.

The visitors are the team in greater need as they battle for a place in Europe but Die Adler have struggled in recent weeks, winning just one of their last six games.

BVB are also out of sorts with three defeats in their last four but at home they have been far better, winning six of their last eight at Westfalenstadion. Only Leverkusen (twice), Bayern and Inter Milan have won as visiting teams at Dortmund this season so the hosts look capable of claiming maximum points.

BVB are the clear favourites so the best angle is backing a home win with goals at both ends. Dortmund have conceded in three of their last five home games and Frankfurt have scored in 10 of their last 11 trips, they’ve also scored in each of their last three games against Dortmund and the reverse fixture finished 3-3 so they have enough quality to grab a consolation effort.

A 3-1 BVB win is the correct score prediction as BVB have scored more than once in seven of their last eight home games and have scored at least three goals in four of those fixtures, so they could win fairly comfortably even if they do concede.

Serhou Guirassy is Dortmund’s top scorer this season and he’s got two goals in his last three games. The Ivorian can add to his account on Friday.
