Tip Reasoning

  • Brighton have won three of 22 Premier League games in London
  • The Seagulls have won twice in their last nine league trips
  • Brentford have won each of their last six home games

Unbeaten Bees can strike again

Brentford have yet to taste defeat as a Premier League side and they’ve gone unbeaten through four games in all competitions this season. The Bees claimed a point at both Crystal Palace and Aston Villa in their last two.

Brentford head back home as the outsiders this weekend, but they meet a Brighton side who are fresh from a loss. While the visitors have had some impressive moments this term we know them as a side who can struggle, which makes Brentford’s price look tempting.

Capital struggles for Brighton

Brighton have won just three of their 22 Premier League away games in London (D8 L11). They head to Brentford without a win in their last nine matches in the capital and this clash could be another setback for the Seagulls.

The visitors lost at home to Everton last time out and they’ve won only twice in their last nine Premier League away trips. Brighton have lost three of their last four away trips in the league and that makes Brentford look like a good option.

Bees to impress at home

Brentford opened their campaign with a 2-0 win over Arsenal and followed that up by beating Forest Green 3-1 in the EFL Cup. Their home record was great last term and they’ve won their last six at home.

The hosts saw key man Ivan Toney score his first goal of the season in their last game and he’s expected to kick-on from that and have a good season. The Bees look strong so far so I think they’re undervalued here. I see the value lying with Draw No Bet given Brighton’s awful away record, while a narrow 1-0 home win is my correct score prediction.

Brentford predicted lineup: Raya; Ajer, Jansson, Pinnock; Canos, Onyeka, Norgaard, Janelt, Henry; Toney, Mbeumo (3-5-2)

Brighton predicted lineup: Sanchez; Webster, Duffy, Dunk; Grob, Lallana, Bissouma, Cucurella; Trossard, Allister; Maupay (3-4-2-1)
