      Brescia vs Torino Predictions

As things stand, these are two of the worst sides in Serie A on current form. The pair are aiming to turn around dreadful spells of form, with both featuring in the bottom four of the form table. Brescia currently sit inside the bottom three, while Torino are a long way off the side which secured a Europa League place last season.

The hosts are second-bottom after losing their last three, while they are having a tough time picking up results at home. World Cup winner Fabio Grosso has been installed as the club’s new manager, as their latest defeat brought Eugenio Corini’s reign to an end. Now Brescia will be hoping that fresh feel can lead them to another win.

However, it’s not just change which could lead Brescia to win here, as history backs the hosts. Torino have lost four of their last five visits to Brescia, while they come in narrowly above the bottom three following a poor campaign. They’ve fallen far from last season, while the low-morale seems to be pushing them further into a crisis.

Torino’s downward spiral has hit them hard in Serie A, leading the club sat in 14th. The visitors are just three points clear of the drop zone and their recent form could push them closer this weekend. Torino head into this clash winless in six, while they’ve lost four on the spin away from home. They are obviously matching up well against a Brescia side who have struggled themselves, but at least the hosts score goals.

Torino come here with one goal across their last five matches, while they have lost to nil in three of their last four trips. The problem for the away side is that they’ve conceded in 91% of their Serie A games this term, while Brescia are looking decent despite facing Juventus, Fiorentina and Inter Milan in their last three here. The hosts have scored in eight of their last 10 games, which should allow them to better Torino. As a result, we’re backing the hosts for a victory.

We don’t expect this clash to be a thriller, especially with both teams nervy about putting points on the board. So far this season, Brescia have claimed two victories and they’ve both been 1-0 away wins. While they are seen as the unfancied side here, we think that might play to their advantage allowing them to claim another narrow win. With Torino conceding in every away game and given how the visitors have failed to score in three of four clashes with Brescia, we’re backing a 1-0 home win.
