Grosso faces tough start

New Lyon boss Fabio Grosso assumes control with his side sitting 16th in the table, following a terrible start to the new campaign. They have lost three of five games this term and after scoring just three times while conceding 10, there are clearly huge issues facing the incoming boss.

Lyon could quickly find themselves in a relegation battle unless their fortunes improve. Grosso will hope to turn things around, but they head to a Brest side who are enjoying a brilliant start to the season.

Hosts in flying form

Brest have picked up 10 points after five games in Ligue 1, their best start ever at this stage across 18 top-flight seasons. Last weekend saw them win 2-1 at Reims, while they’ve only lost to Marseille so far this term.

The hosts have won six of their eight Ligue 1 home games since the start of April, with only Rennes avoiding defeat at this ground during that run. While Rennes won here at the tail-end of the previous campaign, the Champions League hopefuls could only manage a 0-0 draw in September.
