Brest to continue good form at home

Brest’s three-game winning run came to an end last weekend away at Bordeaux, but the club has established themselves in mid-table and could move into the top-half with a win on Sunday. Reims are without a win in their last four league games and now hover perilously above the dreaded drop zone in Ligue 1.

The hosts have claimed most of their points at home this season, where they have looked most impressive. Brest have won four of their six matches at Stade Francis-Le Blé, even beating high-flying Lille there 3-2 in November. Reims have only managed to win once away from home so far this season and haven’t fared any better in their own backyard.

Brest have been scoring goals for fun at home of late, netting four last time out against Saint-Etienne and three the match before against Lille. However, the hosts have only managed to keep one clean sheet at home this season and Reims have only failed to score in two of their away trips.

Reims have been far too reliant on the goals of Dia this season. The Senegal frontman has netted eight league goals already this season, but none of his teammates have scored more than once.

Form certainly favours the home side this weekend and Brest look odds on to claim all 3pts against Reims. As for a final scoreline, 3-1 to the hosts looks a good shout as they are in good goalscoring form but haven’t kept many clean sheets this season.
