Robins bid for another giants killing

Bristol City pulled off an upset in the previous round of the FA Cup by taking down West Ham after a replay and they will fancy their chances of claiming another Premier League scalp when Nottingham Forest visit on Friday in the fourth round.

Backing the Robins in the double chance market is one option but the goals markets offer a bit more value so over 2.5 goals looks a good starting point for our main bet.

The Robins have scored in seven of their last eight home games and their home league games average 2.2 goals-per-game. Over 2.5 goals has been a winning bet in each of Forest’s last six fixtures, and they conceded four goals in normal time against League One outfit Blackpool in the previous round so both teams should be able to contribute to a high-scoring game at Ashton Gate.

The hosts look worthy of getting a result after seeing off the Hammers in the third round and they are generally strong at home, losing just two of their last eight games at this venue – winning five. As such, a 2-2 draw in the correct score market has a chance as three of Bristol City’s last six games have finished level and Forest have drawn two of their last four away from home, and they have scored exactly two goals in each of their last four games.
