Champions Brondby lookinf for first win

Defending champions Brondby were held to a 1-1 draw by Aarhus in the opening round of Danish Superliga fixtures and will be looking to get their first win on the board when Viborg visit on Sunday.

Newly-promoted Viborg opened their campaign with a 2-1 win at Nordsjaelland but they may struggle to get anything out of Brondby.

The Greens were perhaps fortuitous to secure three points at Nordsjaelland as they had less of the ball and created fewer chances.  Brondby probably should have won at Aarhus as they dominated for large periods, particularly in the second half when they created nine chances to AGF’s three.

Brondby were excellent at home last season with 10 wins, four draws and just two defeats in 16 Superliga games and they can claim their first victory of the new term at the Brondby Stadium on Sunday.

Viborg have momentum after winning promotion last year but Brondby are a big step up in class and we feel that will prove the difference in this match-up.  The Vestegnen club have two clean sheets in their last three competitive home games, all of which were victories, and we feel 2-0 has a chance in the correct score market.
