However, Jose Mourinho’s men are into third place in Serie A after last week’s 2-0 win over Empoli, while only leaders Napoli have beaten them in their last eight league games. With Lecce often struggling on their own turf this campaign, the Giallorossi will be hopeful of earning back-to-back victories on Saturday.

Expected goals (xG) figures mark Roma out as Serie A’s third-best attacking side and best defensive unit this season, though the injury woes of Paulo Dybala and underperformance of Tammy Abraham held them back earlier this campaign. With those issues seemingly resolved and the distraction of Nicolo Zaniolo’s transfer saga a distant memory after he was sold to Galatasaray, they will hope to maintain their improvement. With Roma seemingly shaking off their inconsistency in recent weeks and impressing on the road throughout the season, backing Mourinho’s men for victory appears a strong play on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Roma have kept five clean sheets in their last eight matches and Lecce have Serie A’s sixth-worst attacking record this campaign, so a routine 2-0 win for the visitors could represent a solid correct score prediction.
