Charlotte looking to recover from sticky start

The new MLS season is only two games old, but Charlotte are already finding themselves with work to do after a pair of opening defeats to New England and St Louis.

They entertain Atlanta looking to end a run of three straight league defeats, but they may take something from the fact their 3-1 defeat to St Louis included an own goal and a penalty, while they were undone by a last-minute winner in their 1-0 loss to the Revolution.

So things have not gone desperately wrong and they will be hopeful of a repeat of the 1-0 victory they posted over their visitors from Georgia in April.

Atlanta have been poor travellers
