Charlton vs Norwich Predictions

• Charlton have failed to win any of their last eight Championship matches
• Charlton conceded 22 efforts on goal in a 2-0 loss at Watford last weekend
• Norwich have lost all of their last six matches

Canaries can swoop at the Valley

Charlton are without a win in eight Championship matches, and while the Addicks have drawn five of those matches, the south Londoners are slipping down the second-tier table. 

Picking up draws in games against QPR, Bristol City and Burnley is a decent effort, but there have also been some alarming results for Nathan Jones’s men.

A 4-0 loss to Stoke and 3-1 defeat to Cardiff are poor results, but perhaps last weekend’s 2-0 reversal to Watford at Vicarage Road offers the greatest concern. 

The Golden Boys were on a run of four straight defeats and the Hornets had just been stuck 4-0 by Burnley and 5-1 at Cardiff. 

Charlton would have sensed a chance of three points in Hertfordshire, but instead the Addicks conceded 22 efforts on goal and an expected goals figure of 2.85 in a 2-0 loss. 

Jones’s men are no strangers to battling against the odds, but the loss to Watford makes it difficult to think Charlton can hold off Norwich. 

The Canaries have lost five straight second-tier games, but all of those defeats have come by a single-goal margin and the Norfolk side have faced Middlesbrough, Swansea and Southampton on that losing run. 

Philippe Clement’s men look to have been handed an excellent opportunity to pick up three points.
