Expect a tight affair between two of League One’s most in-form sides

While Charlton Athletic find themselves languishing in mid-table ahead of this clash, they did take a four-game unbeaten run into the international break. That run has filled them with confidence ahead of the return here as they welcome top-ranked Plymouth Argyle. As such, I have gone for both teams to score as my main selection in this game. For a start, none of Charlton’s last 13 League One opponents managed to keep them from scoring since Wigan way back in August.

Secondly, Plymouth are rarely shut out themselves and have found the net at least once in each of their last 16 league games since a 2-0 loss at Rotherham to open their campaign. Finally, the ‘Green Army’ are not impenetrable and have conceded 13 goals across their last nine league games, making for 1.4 conceded goals per match across the period.

While Plymouth sit pretty atop the table, they are outsiders for a reason here. Consequently, I am backing to take a point back to the South West at a ground in which they won just once at across their last six visits.
