Charlton vs Sheffield United Predictions

Sheffield United are in the winning habit and look set to continue their run away at Charlton on Saturday.

Both teams have lost more games than they’ve won this season, with Charlton in 19th place and Sheffield United three spots above them in 16th. The hosts have seven wins and ten defeats, while the visitors have won ten and lost 13.

Sheffield United maintained their winning habit two weeks ago with a 3-1 victory over Leicester, comfortably obliging their 4/5 odds. Sheffield United restricted Leicester to one shot on target and, as is often the case, they did all their scoring after the break – 74% of Sheffield United’s goals this season have come in the second half.

The hosts have struggled to find the net at home this season. Charlton have scored just 13 goals in 11 Championship games, an average of 1.18 goals per game.

The away side are in fine fettle. Sheffield United have been winners in three of their last four Championship games, including their last two matches.

Charlton are in a slump, having won just one of their last ten Championship matches. They are now without a win in four games.

The hosts are having defensive problems. It is four Championship games since Charlton last recorded a shutout and they have failed to keep a clean sheet in 15 of their last 18 matches.

Sheffield United can edge this, with a 1-0 correct score in favour of the visitors looking like a decent bet. No Championship side has played more games with under 2.5 goals this season than Charlton’s 15, and three of their ten defeats have been by a 1-0 scoreline.
