Chelsea vs West Brom Predictions, Betting Tips and Match Previews

Chelsea produced another stunning result last weekend when they recovered from an awful first half against Manchester City to beat them 3-1 at the Etihad thanks to goals from Diego Costa, Eden Hazard, and Willian.

This victory made it five wins on the bounce for Chelsea and eight in a row in the Premier League, putting them top of the table with a three point advantage on 2nd placed Arsenal. At the moment they’re looking like the top destination for the Premier League trophy, especially with them not being involved in Europe.

Diego Costa’s return to form has been a big reason for their success, although the Spanish striker is a doubt for this clash. Eden Hazard is still fit though, and considering he has scored six of his eight Premier League goals at Stamford Bridge I’d say he’s the top choice for our anytime goalscorer predictions at odds of 5/4.

West Brom are in high spirits at the moment, with their 3-1 victory at home to Watford last weekend making it three wins and one draw in their last four matches. However, these have all been against out of form sides such as Leicester, Burnley, Hull, and Watford. It’s still an impressive run of form, but the last time they came up against top quality opposition resulted in a 4-0 thrashing at home to Manchester City.

Away from home The Baggies have struggled too, winning just two of their seven matches this season. The majority of their away games so far have been against struggling opposition too, so the signs aren’t looking overly bright for West Brom.

Chelsea’s home form is excellent as well. They have won seven of their eight games at Stamford Bridge this season, scoring 23 goals and conceding six at the other end.

Four of Chelsea’s last six home games have seen them win by at least two goals, and considering the excellent form they are in at both ends of the pitch at the moment I think a Chelsea -1.5 Asian Handicap Win at 1.775 look the best value here. I’m going for a 3-0 correct score predictions at 7/1 too.
