Walsall are worth backing to win away at Cheltenham on Saturday. Mat Sadler’s side have only lost one of their last eight League Two games on the road.

League Two leaders Walsall have eight wins, two draws and three defeats from their 13 games this season, while Cheltenham are 22nd in the table having won three, drawn two and lost eight.

Cheltenham have been disappointing in front of goal at home this season, scoring only four goals in six home games in League Two – an average of 0.67 goals per game. No team has failed to score in more league games this season than Cheltenham (six in 13).

Walsall have been impressive defensively away from home this season in League Two, conceding just five goals in six games – an average of 0.83 goals per game.

Cheltenham’s recent results have been a mixed bag, with two wins, one draw and three defeats in their last six outings. In that run, they beat Newport 2-0 at odds of 21/10, but also lost 2-0 to 23rd-placed Crawley.

Walsall are the most profitable team in League Two this season. Backing them to a one-point level stake in each of their 13 away games would have shown a profit of 7.93 units.

They can edge this, with a 1-0 correct score in favour of the visitors looking like a decent bet. Cheltenham have played three League Two games in a row with fewer than three goals and Walsall have won three times this season by a 1-0 scoreline.
