      Vancouver Whitecaps to Win

      Reason for tip

Vancouver won 2-0 when these sides met in a reverse fixture back in April and on the balance of play they could have won by a far bigger margin. If they can produce a similar level of performance here they should be able to claim maximum points at Colorado Rapids.

      Vancouver Whitecaps 2-0

      Reason for tip

The Rapids have failed to score in three of their last six games and Vancouver’s last two MLS wins have been accompanied by clean sheets so a repeat of April’s 2-0 win for the Whitecaps is the correct score play.

Colorado Rapids vs Vancouver Whitecaps Predictions

      • Vancouver have won two of their last four MLS games.
      • The Whitecaps are 12 points and eight places above Colorado in the West.
      • Vancouver won 2-0 when these sides last met.

      Whitecaps can raid Colorado

Vancouver Whitecaps led the way in the West for a long period after winning eight of their opening 11 games. Their form has tailed off a little recently but they still look backable as underdogs ahead of a Saturday night trip to Colorado Rapids.

The Rapids had a tough midweek trip to LAFC on Wednesday, losing 3-0, while Vancouver have all week to prepare for this game and that could give them an edge.

Colorado are also in poor form with four defeats in their last six games and three losses in their last four at home. Vancouver won 1-0 at LAFC a few weeks ago and that shows they can still match the stronger teams in the conference even if their own levels have dipped after a blistering start.

The Whitecaps won 2-0 when these sides met in a reverse fixture back in April and on the balance of play they could have won by a far bigger margin. If they can produce a similar level of performance here they should be able to leave Dick’s Sporting Goods Park with maximum points.

The Rapids have failed to score in three of their last six games and Vancouver’s last two MLS wins have been accompanied by clean sheets so a repeat of April’s 2-0 win for the Whitecaps is the correct score prediction.
