Coventry vs Sunderland Predictions

Coventry have enjoyed three straight home wins in the Championship and they can get the better of Sunderland again on Saturday at the CBS Arena.

Sunderland are two places above Coventry in the table, but the hosts are sixth with 16 wins and 13 losses from their 37 games, while Sunderland are fourth with 19 wins and six defeats.

Sunderland’s recent form has been inconsistent, with three wins, one draw and two defeats in their last six games. The wins came against Cardiff, Sheffield Wednesday and Luton, but they suffered a disappointing 1-0 loss to Hull.

It would be no surprise to see Coventry score, having found the net at least twice in four of their last five Championship games. They have also averaged 1.29 goals a game in their seven home games against other top-half teams this season.

Coventry have enjoyed success in seven of their last nine home games in the Championship and a 2-0 win for the hosts looks a decent correct-score bet as Frank Lampard’s side look to maintain their play-off push.
