Coventry vs Swindon Predictions

Coventry, despite looking down and out for most of the campaign, have managed to find another gear from somewhere of late and have now lost just one of their last four, winning two of those in the process. However, although they’ve started earning a few more points, they remain bottom of the league and need to continue winning matches over the coming weeks. Fortunately for them, they face a Swindon side who’ve been abysmal of late.

Swindon really have been poor of late. Since somewhat fluking a victory late on against Bolton back in January, they’ve failed to win any of their last six, losing five, and have subsequently dropped right into the thick of the relegation battle. In reality, Coventry probably won’t get a much better chance to take all three points at home this season and are worth backing to come out on top here.

Although they’ve endured a terrible campaign, Coventry’s form at home hasn’t actually been as bad as many people would expect from a team who’re currently bottom off the pile. They have a goal difference of zero and, in conceding just 15 goals, they’ve defended reasonably well at the Ricoh.

After beating Gillingham last time out, confidence should be on the up in the Coventry camp and, in scoring seven goals in their last four matches, they’re starting to look a lot better in the final third.

In all competitions, the hosts have now won back-to-back home matches for the first time since October 2016 and really do have an excellent chance of making it three on the spin against a poor Swindon outfit.

The visitors have won just one of their last ten on the road and come into this fixture having lost each of their last three away matches, scoring just one goal in the process.

All in all, if Coventry can continue to defend well at home, then there’s every chance that they can hurt Swindon at the other end. If staying up is still the aim, then the hosts must win this match against relegation-rivals. They’re fancied to do just that.
