Cremonese vs Verona Predictions

Cremonese should be backed to get a victory at home to Verona on Monday.

They are 13th in Serie A, seven places and nine points above rock-bottom Verona, with five wins from their 20 games this season. The visitors have just two wins so far.

Verona could not break their losing habit last weekend, going down 1-0 to Lazio in their last Serie A outing. Priced as 11/5 outsiders to win the game, they have now lost ten of the 14 games this season in which they’ve shipped the first goal (71%).

Backing Verona when they have been underdogs this season would have resulted in a 5.00-unit loss, with two wins from their 14 games as an underdog. They are out of form, and backing their opponents during their current run of three defeats in four Serie A games would have resulted in a profit of 2.46 units.

Scoring is proving to be a problem for Verona’s forward line, with just seven goals in ten away games this season in Serie A – an average of 0.70 goals a game on the road. They have sustained three defeats without scoring in their last four matches.

The visitors have shown signs of vulnerability at the back. Verona have conceded in each of their last four away games and have been unable to keep their opponents at bay in eight straight Serie A matches. They have failed to keep a clean sheet in 17 of their last 20 league games.

With six of Cremonese’s last seven Serie A games ending with at least one of the sides failing to score and three of their five wins this season coming by a two-goal margin, a 2-0 home win looks a decent correct-score option.
