We’re backing Crewe to qualify when they host Cheltenham in the FA Cup first round replay and bet365 are offering odds of 8/13 for this to happen. For our correct score tip we like the look of a 2-1 Crewe win which is priced up at 8/1 with the same site.

Crewe have a proud history in the FA Cup and although they have never managed to claim the famous trophy, they did manage to get as far as the semi-final way back in 1888. Although they probably won’t expect to do anywhere near as well this year they will be hopeful of progressimg to the second round against a side that they have a pretty good record against.

We can expect it to be a close game and in the two meetings between the sides this season it’s Cheltenham who have had the better of the meetings. They got the three points in the league earlier in the season and also held on to a 1-1 draw in the FA Cup a few weeks ago to force this replay.

Crewe have been the better performers in the league this season and with Cheltenham having the fourth worst away record in League Two it’s hard to look at anything other than a home win. Given Cheltenham have had the better of their hosts so far this season we are going to go with a bit of caution and allow for the likes of extra time and penalties and back them to qualify rather than the outright win.
