Canaries tipped to edge top two clash
Promoted Norwich suffered just their sixth reverse of the season against Bournemouth here on Saturday, but it may be worth chancing the Canaries to bounce straight back against second placed Watford on Tuesday night.
Games involving teams already promoted can often be hard to predict, though it’s hard to imagine that City boss Daniel Farke will allow his squad to relax before the campaign is over.
Norwich were well beaten 1-3 by the in-form Cherries at the weekend but that should spark a strong response here – especially with the magic 100 point tally still within their reach.
Watford look set to claim the second automatic promotion spot and have obviously proven themselves to be a top side at this level, while they also ran out 1-0 winners in December’s reverse fixture at Vicarage Road.
Nonetheless, the Hornets haven’t been great on their travels this term with just seven victories gained in 21 starts (D8, L6), so Norwich look worthy of a punt at odds-against after winning 13 of their 21 home fixtures (D6, L2).
The pressure is also on the visitors to see their job through which is likely to play into City’s hands, and we fancy the hosts to edge a potentially open encounter 3-2 at huge odds in the correct score market.
