Great Danes to take a bite out of beleaguered Greece

Greece have suffered two costly setbacks in the early stages of their World Cup qualifying campaign and we predict another Greek tragedy on Sunday when they head to Copenhagen to take on in-form Denmark.

The 2004 European champions are trailing the Danes and Scotland in Group C after defeats to both nations on the back of an opening win over section minnows Belarus.

Losing to their group rivals means they have ground to make up, but the manner of their loss to Scotland on Thursday suggest they may struggle to get back on their feet.

Greece opened the scoring through Kostas Tsimikas at Hampden Park in a contest which saw little happen for 60 minutes, but the goal only served to fire up the Scots who hit back with a three-goal whammy to take all three points and maintain the pace with Denmark at the top of the section.

The Greeks looked shell-shocked at the full-time whistle in Glasgow and Denmark could take advantage with another comfortable victory having beaten Greece 3-0 in Athens last month.

The Danes followed it with a 6-0 win over Belarus on Thursday, so another 3-0 win is our prediction for this contest.
