Denmark vs Slovenia Predictions
- Slovenia and Denmark lead the way in Group H as both have 19 points from eight games.
- The reverse fixture finished 1-1.
- Denmark have won their last six home games.
Top two clash in Copenhagen
Slovenia lead the way in Euro 2024 Group H with 19 points from eight games but only goal difference is keeping them ahead of Denmark ahead of their meeting in Copenhagen on Friday.
A win for either side would secure qualification but defeat would leave them vulnerable as Kazakhstan sit in third spot – and they take on minnows San Marino and will be expected to win.
This game is arguably bigger for the visitors as they play Kazakhstan in the final round of fixtures but Denmark have a formidable home record, winning each of their last six on home soil, and will be looking to make home advantage count.
Both teams can score
Denmark are the short price favourites to win so backing both teams to score looks the better option in terms of value – and as Slovenia have only lost one qualifier they shouldn’t be underestimated.
Both teams scored in the reverse fixture, a 1-1 draw, and Denmark have scored in all eight of their qualifiers. Slovenia have only failed to score in one of their eight, hitting 17 goals in total, and these teams have enough quality to hurt each other so goals at both ends looks likely.
Home advantage may prove decisive
Denmark were arguably unlucky to only draw in Slovenia and they can make the most of playing in front of their own fans by securing the win they need to qualify.
The Danes have won each of their last six home games and have scored at least three goals in three of their last four. As such, a 3-2 win for the hosts is the correct score prediction as Slovenia are averaging over two goals per-game in qualifying and they could be tempted to go all out here as they look to wrap up their own qualification without needing a result against the Kazakhs.
Jonas Wind is an interesting scorer option as he has hit eight goals in 11 Bundesliga games for Wolfsburg this season, and was on target against Kazakhstan in the last batch of Euro 2024 qualifiers.
