Ecuador vs Venezuela Predictions

Inconsistencies an issue

The hosts have been somewhat inconsistent of late. They have been overachieving throughout this campaign and defied the odds as they sit third in the qualifying table.
After a brilliant start to the qualifiers back in 2020, in which they thumped Uruguay 4-2 and obliterated Colombia 6-1, their form took a dip and it would seem as though they’re doing all they can to hang onto their qualifying spot. They suffered a shock defeat in the last match between these two, but Gustavo Alfaro’s side will hope to make amends here.

Venezuela were on a ten-match winless run before that meeting with Ecuador, and although they got an incredible victory, it looks almost impossible for them to achieve qualification. However, interim manager Leonardo Gonzalez will want his side to repeat that performance and despite sitting bottom, they will want to close the gap.

The previous meeting was somewhat of a shock and there is no denying that the hosts possess far superior quality. We’re expecting them to right the wrongs of last time with a strong performance and ultimately claim victory. It wouldn’t be a surprise to see a 2-0 victory for the hosts.
