Eupen vs Anderlecht Predictions

It was a weekend of contrasting fortunes for these two sides as they opened their campaign last weekend, with underdogs Eupen picking up a point away to reigning champions Club Brugge while last season’s third-place finishers Anderlecht were stunned at home to the newly promoted Union Saint-Gilloise.

They shipped three goals to the relative minnows and in that continued a worrying trend of defensive underperformance. They still have threat going forward, though, and that’s resulted in six of their last seven games featuring goals at both ends. Eupen have seen both teams score in three of their last four and their draw with Club Brugge last weekend ended 2-2. I expect a similarly entertaining match and Eupen could well snatch the three points.
