Everton vs Crystal Palace Predictions
- Everton have lost just two of their last seven Premier League matches at Goodison Park
- Crystal Palace have not won at Everton since 2014
- Last season saw the points shared in a 1-1 draw
Toffees and Eagles can provide entertainment
Everton and Crystal Palace have looked shaky at both ends of the field in the early stages of the season and the two could produce plenty of drama for the neutrals when they go head-to-head on Saturday at Goodison Park.
The Toffees picked up their first point of the campaign in a 1-1 draw with Leicester last weekend but Sean Dyche’s men were on the wrong end of five goal thrillers in their two previous games, while the 14 goals that they have conceded is the joint worst in the division.
The Eagles are in stronger form despite Oliver Glasner’s men failing to win any of their five league matches this season, with Palace on a run of five games unbeaten across all competitions.
However, the London outfit have failed to keep clean sheets in any of their three away matches this season and two of these games have seen winners in the over 2.5 goals market. With the same being true for three of Everton’s home games in all competitions this season, a repeat feat could be in store and a 2-2 draw looks a tempting prospect in the correct score markets.
Eddie the Eagle can open Palace account
Crystal Palace were busy in the summer transfer window, bringing in the likes of Maxence Lacroix and Ismaila Sarr, however their biggest spending splurge came for striker Eddie Nketiah from Arsenal.
The 25-year-old has been a livewire for the Eagles since joining the club and has taken an average of 4.65 shots per 90 minutes played – the most of any member of the Crystal Palace squad.
Nketiah is yet to open his account for Palace but it seems only a matter of time before he grabs his first goal for his new club. With two goals scored against Everton over the course of his days at Arsenal, the former Gunner knows how to get the better of the Toffees and he could capitalise on any defensive errors committed by the hosts.
