Everton To Win To Nil

Reason for tip

Everton are unbeaten in their last six meetings with struggling Crystal Palace, three of which have come this season.  The Toffees should win this one, but don’t expect a high-scoring contest as last month’s two FA Cup meetings yielded just a solitary goal.

Everton 1-0

Reason for tip

Everton were 1-0 winners when these two sides met in last month’s FA Cup third-round replay and a similar result could be on the cards on Monday, as neither team is in form and Palace have lost four away games in a row, two of which have been defeats to nil.

Jack Harrison To Score Anytime

Reason for tip

Jack Harrison has scored two goals across Everton’s last four matches and has been a regular for Sean Dyche’s side this season, starting each of the Toffees last 17 top-flight games.

Everton vs Crystal Palace Predictions

  • Everton are unbeaten in their last six meetings with Crystal Palace
  • Palace have only won three of their last 17 Premier League games
  • Jack Harrison has scored in two of Everton’s last four matches

Toffees to deepen Palace woes

Everton will head into Monday’s match sitting inside the relegation zone and five points behind fellow strugglers Crystal Palace, but recent history does favour Sean Dyche’s side in this fixture.

The Toffees are unbeaten in their last six meetings with the team from south London, three of which have come this season, as they followed up a 3-2 league win in November by knocking Palace out of the FA Cup at the third-round stage after a replay.

That 1-0 win over the Eagles in their most recent meeting at Goodison in January is Everton’s only victory in 11 matches across all competitions, but they have drawn two of their last three and ran Manchester City close last weekend before succumbing to a 2-0 defeat.

Palace’s form is also on the poor side, as they have won just three of their last 17 league games to slip into the relegation picture and the pressure continues to mount on manager Roy Hodgson, who may not be in the dugout for Monday’s match.

Low-scoring contest expected at Goodison

These two sides may both be out of form in terms of results, but Everton should have the edge given their recent record when facing Palace.

Don’t expect this to be a high-scoring contest though, as their two cup meetings in January yielded just a solitary goal from Everton’s Andre Gomes.

In four of the last five head-to-heads both teams have found the back of the net only once – November’s 3-2 win for Everton at Selhurst Park – while two of the games during that period have finished 0-0.

Everton have won the other two by 3-0 and 1-0 score lines and that latter result could be on the cards again this Monday night.

Harrison to prove Everton’s hero

Only the bottom two in the division, Burnley and Sheffield United, have scored fewer goals than Everton in this season’s top flight and the Toffees’ top scorer, Abdoulaye Doucoure, has only six strikes to his name.

Jack Harrison is two behind Doucoure in the scoring charts, but two of his strikes have come across Everton’s last four matches and the winger can continue his hot streak on Monday.

Harrison has started each of Everton’s last 17 matches in the Premier League and is as likely as anyone in a blue shirt to find the back of the net.
