Celtic and Both Teams To Score

    Reason for tip

Celtic claimed a 4-0 win over Dundee United in Martin O’Neill’s second first game back in charge at the weekend and they can follow that up by beating Falkirk on Wednesday. The hosts can get on the scoresheet in defeat as they are in decent form with three wins in their last four games, and Celtic have conceded in eight of their last nine.

    Celtic 3-1

    Reason for tip

Celtic have scored at least three goals in each of their last three victories and can win fairly comfortably even if they do concede. A 3-1 away win has a chance.

    Falkirk vs Celtic Predictions

    • Celtic have a 100% record in the Premiership under Martin O’Neill.
    • Falkirk have scored in 10 of their 12 home games this season.
    • Celtic have conceded in eight of their last nine.

O’Neill has Celtic instantly back on track

Celtic claimed a 4-0 win over Dundee United in Martin O’Neill’s first game back in charge and they should be able to follow that up by winning at Falkirk on Wednesday.

With league leaders Hearts also in action, victory for Celtic is vital if they are to avoid dropping further behind and they look a far more effective unit after Wilfried Nancy’s exit.

O’Neill had a brief temporary spell in charge earlier in the season and Celtic have eight wins in nine games under the Irishman’s guidance. They also have a 100% record in the Premiership, and the best angle here could be backing them to win and concede.

Falkirk have a reasonable strike rate at home as they have scored in 10 of their 12 games at Falkirk Stadium across all competitions, hitting 13 goals in 10 league games at this venue. The Bairns are also in decent form with three wins in their last four games and will feel they can challenge Celtic in midweek.

The Hoops had conceded in eight successive games prior to their rout of Dundee United so a Falkirk goal could be on the cards.

Ultimately, Celtic can still win fairly comfortably and a 3-1 away win is the pick as they scored four against Falkirk in a reverse fixture earlier this season.

Yang Hyun-jun is the form man in the Celtic attack with three goals in his last four games and he can add to his account at Falkirk.
