After a rough afternoon against Arsenal in Cardiff in the Community Shield, Enzo Maresca looks to have got things under control at the Etihad. City have won all three of their Premier League games, and they recorded their first shutout under the Italian boss on Saturday.

City held Bournemouth to 0.65 xG in their 2-1 win to open the campaign, while it took an incredible free-kick for Crystal Palace to get on the scoresheet in a 4-1 City victory.

Maresca’s side can continue that winning run when they visit Porto on Tuesday night. Maresca had a solid record in Europe with Chelsea, winning the Conference League before recording wins over Benfica, Ajax, and Barcelona in last season’s Champions League.

While that Chelsea side was plagued with inexperience, this City team has an experienced core. With Gianluigi Donnarumma at one end and Erling Haaland at the other, Maresca’s side should be well-placed to edge these kinds of close contests.
