Fiorentina and Both Teams To Score

Reason for tip

Fiorentina have won with both teams scoring in four of their last nine Conference League home games. Meanwhile, Celje have scored in four of their five European away trips this season. The Slovenian champions have scored 22 and conceded 22 in 11 matches in this competition.

Fiorentina 3-1

Reason for tip

Fiorentina have scored exactly three goals in three of their five home Conference League games this term and can emulate that feat against a side that have shipped two goals per game on average in Europe. Celje have scored in four of their five Euro away trips, including one at fellow quarter-finalists Real Betis. But one may be the most they can manage in a 3-1 loss.

Rolando Mandragora To Score Anytime

Reason for tip

Rolando Mandragora, who scored a penalty in the first leg, has hit a purple patch in front of goal with three strikes in his last six appearances in all competitions. The Fiorentina midfielder has scored in four of his last five outings in Europe.

Count on Celje to keep it interesting

Fiorentina’s bid to reach a third straight Europa Conference League Final is unlikely to be stopped by Celje when the two sides meet at Stadio Artemio Franchi on Thursday. But the Slovenian champions were no pushovers in the first leg and remain in with a shout of causing an upset in Florence.

Albert Riera’s side play good football and are not shy about shooting. The Counts have scored the third-most goals in the competition with 22 from 11 games.

However, they have also conceded at a rate of two per match and that spells trouble against a Fiorentina side that can play free-flowing stuff themselves.

Kean and Mandragora have their shooting boots on

La Viola have an in-form marksman in Moise Kean too and he could be the difference between them taking the final step in this competition or falling by the wayside again. Coach Raffaele Palladino gave his 21-goal top scorer only a couple of minutes off the bench in Slovenia, but the Italian international looks set to start on Thursday.

Nicolo Zaniolo is suspended but Fiorentina have plenty of goals in the side with midfielder Rolando Mandragora going through a purple patch that makes him look great value to notch again at around 3/1 anytime.

The Serie A side should win, but backing them to win with both teams on the scoresheet looks advisable. Palladino’s side have kept four straight clean sheets in domestic competition, but they have shipped six times in five European contests in front of their own fans.
