After a disastrous start to the season that saw them propping up Serie A, Fiorentina have improved of late, losing only two of their last seven matches across all competitions, a run that includes thrashing Udinese 5-1 on home soil.

Como have also been winning big of late under Cesc Fabregas and will head into this game following a 3-0 victory at Lazio and a 6-0 home triumph over Torino to move within touching distance of the top four in Serie A.

Away team tends to get on top

Goals should certainly be on the agenda in Florence, with three of Fiorentina’s last four games and four of Como’s previous five going over the 2.5 goal mark.

That threshold was also passed when the teams last met in the league in September, with Como claiming a 2-1 success at the Stadio Artemio Franchi.
