Seagulls can soar to Conference League success

Brighton have emerged as serious top-four contenders in the Premier League this season and the Seagulls may also hold outside title aspirations. 

The south coast side will hope to be playing Champions League football next term, but for this campaign they will have to make do with the Conference League. 

Fabian Hurzeler’s men are favourites to follow Crystal Palace’s wing prints and land the Conference League title this term and the league phase of the competition is likely to be easy pickings for Brighton.

The Seagulls swooped to sting Kauno Zalgiris 4-0 at the Amex in their opening European contests and it is six straight wins for the south coast side.

Brighton have beaten the Premier League champions Arsenal 3-0, Manchester United 3-1, Crystal Palace and Coventry 5-0 and Sunderland 2-0 on their impressive winning run and there is no side in the Conference League able to withstand a team at the level of the Seagulls. 

Jablonec are the side tasked with stopping Brighton on Thursday night and it is unlikely to be a pleasant experience for Lubos Kozel’s men. 

The Czech side conceded 23 efforts on goal in a 3-2 Conference League loss at Freiburg last and Jablonec have won only four of their last 12 matches.
