Fulham vs Hull Predictions
Fulham missed out on the chance to close the gap on the Championship playoff positions on Tuesday as they lost 1-0 away to Reading, with that result keeping them 9th in the table. They have now won two, drawn one, and lost two of their last five matches.
At home it’s a similar story of inconsistency for the Craven Cottage outfit. They have won four, drawn three, and lost four of their last 11 outings there, although three of those defeats did come some time ago and they have been showing signs of improvement recently.
However, they’re facing a somewhat resurgent Hull on Sunday. The visiting side managed to end Manchester United’s 17 match unbeaten streak on Wednesday as they won 2-1 against them. It wasn’t enough to book them a place at Wembley though, with the League Cup semi final ending 3-2 on aggregate.
Their performance was admirable though, and it just highlights the talent of manager Marco Silva. Hull have now won three and lost two of their last five games, with the defeats both coming away from home and against in form sides Chelsea and Manchester United.
There are still the ongoing injury problems for them, and the fact that star player Robert Snodgrass is on the verge of leaving, but on recent evidence there are promising signs that Hull can avoid the drop this season, despite the fact they remain in 19th position in the Premier League.
Away from home there is no doubt that Hull have struggled this season, but their recent performances suggest that they could turn this around. They were by no means horrendous against either Manchester United or Chelsea, and those were two very tough games. The displays so far under Marco Silva indicate they are truly capable of turning this around, so odds of 3/4 for a Hull Win or Draw Double Chance seem very good value, considering they are playing against Championship opposition who have only won four of their last 15 home games in normal time. I’m backing this alongside a 1-1 correct score predictions at 6/1.
