Galatasaray 2-1

Reason for tip

Bodo/Glimt have shipped exactly two goals in three of their last six matches, keeping a clean sheet in only one of those half dozen. But they have found the net in eight of their last nine competitive matches and each of their last nine in Europe. Gala can edge a 2-1 win here.

Leroy Sane To Score Anytime

Reason for tip

Leroy Sane looked sharp as he scored a brace against Basaksehir on Saturday. The German winger can get on the scoresheet against a Bodo side that have shipped twice in three of their last six matches.

Galatasaray vs Bodo Glimt Predictions

Galatasaray expected to edge Bodo/Glimt in Istanbul

Galatasaray are fancied to take all three points when they host Bodo/Glimt in the Champions League on Wednesday, but the Norwegian visitors could make life uncomfortable for Okan Buruk’s side at RAMS Park.

The Turkish champions bounced back from a 5-1 thrashing by Eintracht Frankfurt with a statement 1-0 win over Liverpool last time out, and they’ve followed that up with strong domestic form — beating Basaksehir 2-1 away and drawing 1-1 with Besiktas despite playing an hour with ten men.

Buruk’s men are unbeaten in 14 of their last 15 matches and have turned their home ground into a fortress, winning four and drawing two of their last six European games in Istanbul. They’ve scored at least twice in nine of their last 12 European home fixtures and are averaging 2.3 goals per game at RAMS Park this season.

Norwegians will put up some resistance

Bodo/Glimt, however, are no pushovers. The Eliteserien title contenders are unbeaten in their debut Champions League campaign, drawing 2-2 with both Slavia Prague and Tottenham. Kjetil Knutsen’s team missed a penalty against Spurs and could easily have taken all three points.

Galatasaray’s attacking depth could be the difference. Leroy Sane is expected to retain his place in a potent front three alongside Victor Osimhen, who was rested at the weekend. The Germany star bagged a brace against Basaksehir and looks sharp after recovering from a minor knock.

He’s a tempting anytime goalscorer pick given Bodo’s defensive vulnerability of late. They have shipped at least two goals in three of their last six games and kept only one clean sheet in that span. But they have found the net in eight of their last nine competitive matches and are unlikely to sit back, even away from home.
