Gefle vs AIK Betting Tips & Predictions

Gefle are having an awful start to the Allsvenskan season. Ten games in and they find themselves well in the relegation zone after a shocking run of form has left them with a measly total of just five points.

Their sole win of the season came back at the start of April when they won at Sundsvall, but since then they have lost seven and drawn one of their eight league matches.

AIK haven’t had the greatest of starts to the new Swedish Allsvenskan campaign either, but they have started to improve recently. Their first seven league outings saw them fail to win back to back games as they won two, drew three, and lost two.

However, they have managed to pick up victories against Hacken, Djurgarden and, most recently, Falkenberg to boost their position in the table. Last season’s 3rd place finishers now sit in 5th position, with a win on Monday having the potential to lift them as high as 2nd place in the table.

Two of AIK’s recent victories have come away from home as well, and their record on the road this season will please them considering the rocky beginning to the campaign. They have won three and lost two of their five games away from home.

Gefle are winless on home turf so far this season and have lost three of their last four, conceding a terrible 12 goals in the process. Add to this the fact that AIK have won six of their last seven meetings with Gefle and that makes the visitors strong favourites in my eyes.

Odds of 7/10 for an AIK victory on Monday seem to offer a lot of value considering the disparity between the clubs, so I’m backing that along with a 3-0 correct score prediction at 12/1.
