Hosts can get off the mark at Parma’s expense

Genoa should be backed to beat out-of-form Parma at home in Serie A on Sunday.

Parma are five places above Genoa in the table, but both teams have lost more games than they’ve won this season. The hosts are yet to win a game, while Parma have one win and three defeats from their six matches.

The visitors lack killer instinct in front of goal. Parma have failed to score in four of their last six Serie A matches and have yet to find the net on the road after three away games this season.

The visitors’ recent away form has been disappointing, with Parma failing to win any of their last three on the road in Serie A. They have avoided defeat in just one of their last ten away games in the league.

A 2-0 home win for Genoa looks like a decent correct-score option. Six of Parma’s last eight Serie A games have had fewer than three goals and two of their last three away days have ended in defeat by a 2-0 scoreline.
