Girona host Albacete this weekend hoping to pick up three points that could prove vital in the race for the playoffs in Segunda Liga.

Girona are currently hovering just outside of the playoff places, seven points behind 6th placed Vallecano. They’ve only lost once in their last six though as they begin to gather form at just the right time.

Albacete have been struggling this season and are currently second bottom having picked up just 29 points this season. They won last weekend but that was their first win in six games and came against fellow struggles, Cartagena.

This match looks as though it could be a lock for the home side as they try and maintain their form heading into the tail end of the season.
