Granada vs Barcelona Betting Tips & Predictions

Barcelona have recovered well from their various set-backs in April winning 4 matches in a row in La Liga, scoring 21 goals and not conceding any. With the title at stake here and Real Madrid their rivals for it, the Catalans are clearly going to be right up for it and it’s hard to see them putting in anything but a good performance. Their path to a domestic double has cleared significantly over the past 10 days with Atleti dropping out of the title race, Sevilla moving into a Europa League final just a few days they play Barca in the Copa del Rey final and perhaps most significantly Granada securing their safety last weekend.

That makes this game considerably easier for the Catalans as Granada now have nothing to play for and no real motivation to put in a full blooded display. They beat a lacklustre Sevilla 4-1 away from home last week, to secure their survival with their 3rd win in 4 matches. They are also unbeaten in 6 games at home but now survival is in the bag, may struggle to match the intensity with which they’ve been playing with. Suggestions that Real Madrid have been offering illegal ‘bonuses’ to Granada players for getting a result here have been doing the rounds in Spain this week and probably shouldn’t be completely ruled out despite denials from the Granada camp.

Whether that is the case or not, Barcelona should have far too much quality for Granada and are likely to come out firing as they look to quickly settle nerves with an early goal. Once the game looks in the bag, they could really turn on the style as they’ve done in recent weeks and backing Barcelona to win both halves at 7/10 looks to offer good value here.
