Hearts have been too hot for Hibernian

Hearts were jubilant following their derby day victory over Hibernian in the league last time out as they were able to come from behind to secure a 3-1 victory. They’re impressing in the league – occupying third palace in the table but now their attentions turn to winning back-to-back derbies in quick succession when they entertain Hibs once again in the Scottish Cup. A place in the final is up for grabs and considering the hosts are unbeaten across their last seven matches, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see them edge past Hibernian once again.

Shaun Maloney’s side will look to bounce back after losing to Hearts in the Edinburgh Derby last time out. Drey Wright opened the scoring in that one but Hearts were able to fight back with two decisive goals on either side of half-time. It was yet another disappointing display from Hibernian who have now failed to beat Hearts in their last five attempts. In fact, Hibs are without a win in their last three games and haven’t been able to keep a clean sheet across their last four matches overall.

Hosts to emerge victorious over rivals once again

We like the look of a repeat result here, meaning that Hearts will get the better of Hibernian once again. This is a huge match and both sides will have the bit between their teeth and aim to claim the bragging rights. However, Hibernian just can’t keep a clean sheet at the moment and we think their lack of defensive stability could be their undoing.
