Djurgarden’s path to goal is clear

For Djurgarden, everything’s coming up roses right now and they should find the path to goal at least twice against struggling Helsingborg on Monday. Kim Bergstrand’s side have won four of their last five league games, including their last three, and sat one point off the top of the Allsvenskan summit going into the current round of fixtures.

Goals have not been a problem for Blåränderna, who have hit 14 goals in their last five games, scoring four or more on three of those occasions. The only concern that might arise from the pattern of their season is that Djurgarden’s best performances have come on plastic and not the natural grass they will face at Olympia.

Hosts Helsingborg have been woeful at the back all season long, whether home or away, and seem unlikely to be able to keep a lid on Djurgarden’s three-pronged attack of Joel Osoro, Victor Edvardsen and Haris Radetinac. Helsingborg have shipped at least two goals in six of their last eight Allsvenskan matches and needed a 90th-minute equaliser to end a dismal run of five straight defeats against Kalmar last time out. But they do score goals at home, managing exactly one in all but one of their six previous Olympia dates, so could be a threat if Djurgarden aren’t at their best.

An away win looks likely here, but the better price around the visitors to get two or more goals gets our recommendation. A 2-1 Djurgarden victory is worth a play in correct score markets too as four of the hosts’ last eight league games have seen them lose by that exact score.
