Tigers can tame Rovers

Hull should be backed to beat Blackburn at home in the Championship on Saturday.

Hull finished 21st in the Championship last season, with 49 points, while Blackburn were seventh, 17 points ahead of them with 66. Hull won 12 games and lost 21, while Blackburn had 19 wins and 18 defeats.

However, Hull justified their 19/20 odds to beat Oxford last week, dominating possession with 74.8% and securing a 3-2 victory. Joe Gelhardt scored in the second minute, with Matt Crooks and Oliver McBurnie also finding the net.

While the Tigers have four points on the board, Blackburn have suffered successive defeats.

The visitors have struggled defensively of late, failing to keep a clean sheet in 13 of their last 15 Championship games.

A 1-0 home success for Hull appeals in the correct-score market. They won three of the last four Championship meetings with Blackburn by a single goal and, with 32 of Hull’s 46 games featuring fewer than three goals last season, a narrow victory looks on the cards.
