Draw 2-2

Reason for tip

Hull have conceded at least twice in three of their last six, while also scoring two or more in three of the last four. Sunderland have scored exactly twice in two of their last five on the road in all competitions, but also conceded two or more on three occasions.

Hull City vs Sunderland Predictions

  • Hull’s last four matches have all contained 3+ strikes
  • There have been 14 goals across Sunderland’s four away league games
  • Four of the Black Cat’s last six outings have featured at least three goals

Hull on the search for consistency

It has been a strange old season for Hull, who started proceedings with a couple of draws and defeats, before winning three of the next four, losing once.

That defeat was a thumping 4-0 loss at Norwich before the international break and made it four successive outings in which there have been 3+ goals.

It is a major concern that the Tigers have also now gone six league games without keeping a clean sheet, conceding at least twice in half of those clashes.

Leaders prime for goals

Sunderland, on the other hand, make the short trip south to the MKM Stadium with the Championship’s best attack, netting 19 times in just nine games.

Eight of those have come in four fixtures on the road, the last three of which have contained 3+ goals, where they have also conceded six times.

It is a worry for Régis le Bris that his team have lost two in a row on their travels though, 3-2 at Plymouth and 2-1 to Watford.

I predict that there will three or more goals in this game, with a 2-2 draw my correct score prediction.
