Both Teams To Score and Over 2.5 Match Goals

Reason for tip

Both teams have scored with at least three goals in six of Inter’s last seven home games and also in all of Bodo/Glimt’s last seven away matches. The way the tie is poised after the first leg suggests the return clash could be pretty open with chances at both ends.

Inter Milan 3-2

Reason for tip

Inter have won four of their last five home games, scoring multiple goals in their last three. They can get three goals against a Bodo/Glimt side that shipped three away to Galatasaray, two in Dortmund and saw Atletico Madrid go close several times in a 2-1 win in Spain last month. But the Norwegians have the intensity in their play and ability in transition to score two themselves and secure qualification in a 3-2 defeat.

Kasper Hogh To Score Anytime

Reason for tip

Kasper Hogh has scored four goals in Bodo/Glimt’s last three Champions League games and is playing at a high enough level to give Inter’s defenders problems.

Inter Milan vs Bodo Glimt Predictions

  • Inter Milan trail 3-1 from the first leg in Norway
  • Both teams have scored with at least three goals in six of Inter’s last seven home games
  • Both teams have scored with at least three goals in Bodo/Glimt’s last seven away matches

Bodo/Glimt gaining greater Euro respect

Bodo/Glimt pulled off yet another Champions League shock at home to Inter Milan last week and will now attempt to finish the job at the San Siro on Tuesday. Maybe it should not have been that much of a shock after their stunning wins at home to Manchester City and away at Atletico Madrid in January.

They also earned a 2-2 draw in Dortmund and gave Juventus a mighty scare in a 3-2 home loss late last year so their momentum has been steadily building. Kjetil Knutsen’s side have every chance of knocking Inter out if they keep their calm in Milan.

Christian Chivu’s side are powering clear at the top of Serie A but have not been anywhere near as convincing in the Champions League since Simone Inzaghi left after guiding them to last season’s final.

Nerazzurri not as good as last year

The Nerazzurri won five and lost three of their eight league phase games with four of their beaten opponents finishing in the bottom 10 places of the 36-team table.

The fact that Bodo/Glimt tore one of the best defences in Europe last season to shreds last week should be a warning to anyone thinking of backing them to win this return leg.

Backing goals is the way to go in a tie that Inter have to approach positively. Both teams have scored with at least three goals in six of Inter’s last seven home games and in the Norwegians’ last seven away matches in all competitions – a trend that could continue on Tuesday.
