Ipswich vs Norwich Predictions
Ipswich Attack Can Edge Old Farm Derby
Ipswich have been in fine form going forward at Portman Road this season, and they should be backed to get the victory over Norwich in the Old Farm derby on Sunday.
Kieran McKenna’s side have scored 10 goals at home in the Championship — an average of 2.50 goals per game from four games — and will be confident of finding the net against Liam Manning’s team.
The league table supports that view. Town are 13th in the Championship, six places and two points above Norwich, having won two, drawn four and lost one of their seven games this season, while the visitors have two wins, two draws and four defeats.
Furthermore, the Tractor Boys are unbeaten in their four Championship home games this season, and that form is underpinned by their potency in attack.
By contrast, Norwich are enduring a rough spell, without a win in four Championship games and having won just one of their last six. The visitors’ defence has been far from watertight, either. The Canaries have failed to keep a clean sheet in 12 of their last 15 Championship games, with their last shutout coming against Blackburn back in August.
Ipswich may be able to edge out Norwich in a close game, with a 2-1 home win the correct-score pick. Both teams have scored in six of Norwich’s eight Championship games this season, and all of their four defeats have been by a single goal.
