    Osasuna to Win

    Reason for tip

Osasuna can put their dismal end to last season behind them under new head coach Luis Miguel Ramis by beating Levante in their season opener. Levante were outclassed on the road by Espanyol last weekend and won only four of their 19 away games last term.

    Osasuna 2-0

    Reason for tip

Osasuna won nine of their 19 league games on home soil last season, including December’s 2-0 success over Levante, who began the 2026-27 campaign with a toothless display away at Espanyol last weekend.

    Osasuna vs Levante Predictions

    • Osasuna beat Levante 2-0 in last season’s corresponding fixture
    • Levante were outclassed by Espanyol in their opening match of the season
    • The visitors won only four times on the road in La Liga last term

Both sides aiming to move on from survival battle

Osasuna’s season will finally get up and running on Monday night when they play host to a Levante side that have already played once, although they were outclassed in last week’s 3-0 defeat at Espanyol.

Both these sides only narrowly avoided relegation last season, finishing locked together on 42 points, but while Osasuna stumbled over the line, losing their final five matches, Levante performed survival heroics by winning three of their final four, a run that started with a 3-1 home success over Osasuna.

However, it looks like it could be another season of struggle for Luis Castro’s Levante based on their performance against Espanyol, as they mustered only four shots, none of which were on target, during that dismal defeat in Catalonia.

Osasuna can make home advantage count

While it was a bad end to last season for Osasuna, their overall home record was strong, as they won nine and lost only five of their 19 league games at the El Sadar Stadium.

One of those wins was December’s 2-0 success over Levante, who triumphed only four times on the road during 2025-26, and a repeat of that scoreline could be on the cards.

Osasuna should certainly come into this game feeling fresh and perhaps with a spring in their step following this summer’s appointment of Luis Miguel Ramis as head coach and he will be hopeful of enjoying a winning start.
