Juventus to Win

Reason for tip

Juventus have won eight of their last 11 matches, including five of their last six at home, across all competitions. Fiorentina have lost on eight of their last nine trips to the Bianconeri, and with Vincenzo Italiano’s men losing three of their last four league games, winning none, that record may not improve.

Juventus 2-0

Reason for tip

Juventus have won their last two games to nil, and only Napoli (15) have conceded fewer than their 17 goals against in Serie A this campaign. The Bianconeri have five clean sheets in their last nine meetings with Fiorentina, who have only scored eight times on the road in Serie A this term (in 10 matches).

Juventus vs Fiorentina Predictions

  • Juventus have won eight of their last 11 games in all competitions, including five of their last six at home.
  • Fiorentina, meanwhile, are winless in four league matches, losing three.
  • Fiorentina have only won on one of their last nine trips to Juventus, losing the other eight such meetings.

Juventus rediscovering form?

Juventus seemed to be feeling the effects of their off-pitch crisis on the field of play last month, going three league games without winning around the same time as they were issued with a 15-point deduction in Serie A. However, Massimiliano Allegri’s men can make it three successive victories when they face rivals Fiorentina on Sunday, as they bid to force their way back into contention for a top-seven finish.

Juve’s 3-0 win at Salernitana on Tuesday saw Dusan Vlahovic end a nine-month wait for an away league goal, and the prospect of them finally partnering the Serbia international with Federico Chiesa and Angel Di Maria in attack is a mouth-watering one. Across all competitions, Juve have now won eight of their last 11 matches, including five of their last six at the Allianz Stadium, where they have also won eight of their last nine meetings with the Viola.

Fiorentina, as ever, will be well motivated to deal a blow to the Bianconeri next time out, but a four-match winless run in Serie A has seen Vincenzo Italiano’s men fall to 13th, with their run to the Coppa Italia semi-finals taking precedence of late. Indeed, Fiorentina’s best chance of European qualification looks to be outright cup success, and a side with just two wins in 10 away league matches all campaign look highly unlikely to earn much joy in Turin.

Fiorentina set for more Turin woe

Considering Juventus’ improving form and the rejuvenation of several of their attacking stars, an out-of-form Fiorentina side with three defeats in their last four league outings – and no victories in their last three road trips – look set for defeat.

Meanwhile, Juventus have won their last two games to nil, and if their solid streak returns, a positive end to the campaign could be on the horizon despite their off-pitch struggles. 2-0 to the hosts is our correct score selection.
