Kasimpasa vs Genclerbirligi

Kasimpasa’s top four challenge is faltering a bit at the moment. They come into this match having not won any of their last three Turkish Super League matches and they have only managed three wins from their last nine matches in all competitions.

Admittedly, only one of these nine matches resulted in a defeat within the 90 minutes, with another defeat coming in a penalty shootout in the Turkish Cup.

However, Kasimpasa’s inability to win matches has seen them slip down to 6^th in the Super League table. They are still only two points behind Galatasaray and Istanbul BB in 3^rd and 4^th respectively, so all it not lost yet.

Genclerbirligi managed to secure back to back victories in the Turkish Super League with their 1-0 win against Antalyaspor last weekend, with this being the firs time they have managed consecutive wins since March 2015.

Their 3-2 win the weekend before ended their horrendous nine match winless streak in all competitions, the last five of which all ended in defeat for the struggling side.

They aren’t out of danger yet though. They are in 15^th position in the Turkish Super League, one position above the drop spots. Their recent victories have seen them open up a five point gap between them and Sivasspor below them though.

Genclerbirligi managed to win the reverse fixture between these two sides earlier in the season, a win that made it four games unbeaten against Kasimpasa for the visitors on Monday.

However, the visitors have lost eight of their last ten away matches in all competitions and have picked up just four points on the road this season; the second worst record in the division.

I think this terrible away record gives Kasimpasa the edge of Monday, and I think odds of 3/5 for a home win on Monday offer a fair amount of value. I’m going for this alongside a 2-0 correct score prediction at 7/1 due to the fact that Genclerbirligi have failed to score in four of their last five away days.
