Sarpsborg can profit on the road again

Sarpsborg are unbeaten in their six away games this season and have gone nine trips without losing an Eliteserien game. They are the best bet to get a win at Kristiansund on Sunday.

Kristiansund are ninth, two places and two points below seventh-placed Sarpsborg. Both teams have won five times this season, but while Kristiansund have drawn three and lost six, Sarpsborg have five draws and two defeats.

Sarpsborg maintained their winning run last weekend, coming from behind to beat bottom club Haugesund 3-1. This was the sixth game in a row that Sarpsborg have conceded the opening goal, and they have won two of the eight games this season in which they’ve shipped first (25%).

Sarpsborg are in fine fettle, having lost just one of their last eight Eliteserien matches. They come into this game aiming for a third straight success.

They can get on the scoresheet here. They have scored two or more goals in seven of their 12 games this season, and are averaging 2.29 goals a game in their seven matches against bottom-half teams.

Kristiansund’s defence is a concern. They have yet to keep a clean sheet at home this season, and have failed to keep a clean sheet in 17 of their last 19 Eliteserien games.

A 2-1 win for Sarpsborg looks like a decent correct-score bet. Five of their last six Eliteserien games have ended with both sides scoring, and they have conceded the opening goal in six consecutive matches.
