LA Galaxy vs San Jose Earthquakes Betting Tips & Predictions

LA Galaxy managed an impressive 4-1 win over DC United in the opening game of their MLS season, but they couldn’t recreate this form when they visited Colorado Rapids on Sunday and came out on the end of a 1-0 defeat, with a fairly uneventful match ending with a 95th minute winner.

However, they are back on home turf again this weekend, so they will be hoping for a much improved performance to set them back on their way to improving on their 5th place finish last term.

It might not be easy though. They are coming up against a San Jose Earthquakes side who have won their opening two matches in the MLS, with an opening day win over the team that beat LA Galaxy and a 2-1 win last weekend against MLS Cup holders Portland Timbers

This is an excellent start for them, and they will already feel confident about their chances of reaching the playoffs this season after they finished 7th in the Western Conference last term.

La Galaxy’s home record is very good though. They have only lost one of their last 15 matches on home turf and have won 12 of these games, whilst San Jose Earthquakes have lost three of their last five on the road.

Both teams know how to find the net though, with LA Galaxy scoring in all but two of their last 11 home games, although they have also conceded in eight of these matches too. San Jose Earthquakes have seen both teams score in seven of their last 11 away days and have themselves scored in all but one of these. This makes odds of 3/4 for Both Teams to Score look very good value, especially when you take into consideration the numerous defensive injuries both teams have.
