Le Havre Double Chance (Win or Draw)

Reason for tip

Lens may have won their last nine home games in all competitions, but they could be running out of steam after a couple of unconvincing displays. Meanwhile, Le Havre had the better of Lens’ 2-1 win earlier this season and have avoided defeat in four of their last five league games.

Draw 0-0

Reason for tip

Le Havre have tightened up at the back recently, conceding only three goals in their last five league games. They can nick a 0-0 draw at Stade Bollaert- Delelis if Lens are knocked out of their stride by the defeat in Marseille.

Lens vs Le Havre Predictions

  • Lens have won their last nine home games in all competitions
  • Le Havre had the better of Lens’ 2-1 win earlier this season
  • Le Havre have avoided defeat in four of their last five league games

Lens could be looking at a frustrating night

All the form lines point to a Lens win in Friday night’s Ligue 1 clash with Le Havre, but the visitors are capable of denying their title-challenging hosts all three points.

Lens’ eight -game winning streak was halted by Marseille last weekend and it may take them a bit longer to hit their stride. Roberto de Zerbi’s side raced into a two-goal lead at the Velodrome and had the game sewn up after 75 minutes when they grabbed a third.

Les Sang et Or have won six straight home league contests, beating the likes of Marseille and Strasbourg earlier in the campaign. But they missed a hatful of chances in a 1-0 win home over Auxerre just before the Marseille trip and may be running out of steam.

Le Havre have a chance to draw

Le Havre were arguably the better team in a 2-1 home loss to Lens earlier this season and they are probably a bit better than their lowly 15th position in the table suggests. Didier Digard’s side have taken six points from their last five games and lost only once in that sequence – a 1-0 defeat to high-flying Lyon just before Christmas.

The visitors can nick a point if they set their stall out correctly and Digard has enough tactical nous to get the job done. Lens are without key defender Samson Baidoo through injury while new signing Arthur Masuaku has also been riled out.

Back Le Havre to take at least a point in the Double Chance market with Lens’ momentum having recently been checked.
