Leyton Orient vs Plymouth Predictions

Andy Hessenthaler became the first League Two casualty of the season on Monday after he was relieved of his duties following just five months in charge. Orient had won just once in their last five fixtures and currently sit in 14th position with just 11 points on the board. With the O’s one of the sides expected to challenge for the title it’s obvious that Orient Chairman Francesco Becchetti has seen enough to tell him that Hessenthaler was incapable of turning the season around. Assistant manager Andy Edwards will take charge of the side in the interim as the O’s search for a replacement, although he will know that a good result on Tuesday will keep his name in the frame on a more permanent basis.

Plymouth have been in fantastic form of late and currently sit clear at the top of the division. The Pilgrims’ form has been that good that they will be disappointed that they were only able to claim a point against Hartlepool at the weekend, although having trailed for the majority of the game they will know that the weekend could have been a lot worse. Argyle boast the joint best away record and they will be keen to extend that run on Tuesday night.

It will be interesting to see how Leyton Orient react to the sacking of Hessenthaler but we feel that it might be a bit too much to turn around their form so quickly against such a strong side. You can get excellent odds on a Plymouth win at 9/4 with bet365 so that is where we will be putting our money. For our correct score tip we think there will be less than 2.5 goals so we’re backing a 2-0 away win.
