Liechtenstein’s losing run

Unsurprisingly, Liechtenstein were thumped 4-0 by Portugal in their opening qualifier and it means their search for a first competitive win on the international stage goes on, having last emerged victorious in September 2020, against San Marino. They have got the toughest task out of the way but backing them to claim something here doesn’t seem sensible. They’ve lost their last 14 internationals and failed to hit the back of the net in 13 of those, which leads us to think they’re in for another rough time here.

Iceland have not been pulling up any trees with their form. They’ve failed to reach the heights of 2016 but boss Arnar Þór Viðarsson will be hoping he can relieve some pressure by claiming a crucial victory here.
